About Bettina.
Bettina Bresnan is an actor, writer, singer, and director. Living in LA but born and raised in NYC, she attended Trevor Day School before getting her BFA in Musical Theatre at Pace University. She is the creator of the cringey yet hopeful Instagram series, The Boyfriend Monologues, as well as two TV shows, Resort and Heidee. She has been seen in TV shows such as CW’s Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries and films like The Last Five Years directed by Richard LaGravense and Vamps directed by Amy Heckerling. She wrote and starred in the short film Aprils Fool nominated for Best Short in the Long Island International Film Festival 2014. Her theater credits include: The 24 Hour Plays, Cooking for Two at the Signature Theater, Laugh Track at the New York Fringe Festival, Light in the Piazza directed by Victoria Clark, Xanadu directed by JV Mercanti, and countless other productions and readings. She has just finished writing, directing, and staring in the short film A Killer Secret which she hopes will leave you full of fear…and laughs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading complicated recipes, making none of them, and ordering dumplings.
